Vintage Dress Remakes

Left:  This bride's models her mother's wedding dress worn in the 1970s.  Center:  It was updated into a strapless bridal gown.   Right:  This heirloom quality baptismal gown with fancy pinafore was redesigned from a grandmother's wedding gown.

Bustles

This bubble hem (far left) was pulled up into a French Bustle.  The pull-up skirt is shown in an overbustle (center) and a French bustle (far right).  A beaded skirt (bottom of page) is shown in an overbustle.

Other Alterations

Gaping necklines are common in strapless gowns but they are easily corrected with appropriate alterations.
