General Alteration Prices 

Bridal Gowns:  hems ($80 and up); side seams for strapless gown ($35 and up); adjust straps ($15 and up); overbustle ($15 and up); french bustle ($25 and up) 

Overbustle:  1st loop $15; 2-3 loops $35; $5 each additional loop 

French Bustle: 1st loop $25; 2-3 loops $45; $7 each additional loop

Cut Train:  $150 and up, depending on the complexity of the task (the price also includes hemming the front of the dress)

Bridesmaid dresses:  hems ($30 and up); side seams ($25 and up)

Pressing:  bridal gown ($30 and up); bridesmaid dresses/mother's dresses ($5 and up)

About MJ Alterations
Our owner has been sewing since she was 6 years old, taught Home Economics and later honed her sewing skills in a garment factory.  She then took time off to travel the world as an Army wife and to raise a family.  She started this home-based business in 1990 as a means of extra income, but it has evolved into a full-time business that provides quality alteration services.  In addition to working in the bridal alterations business for more than 20 years, our owner received a bachelor's degree in home economics education, and then later a master's degree in guidance and career counseling. Our business is known for our personalized services and competitive prices
